Together with Agiliz, Generali Employee Benefits modernized its data architecture on Google Cloud, launched a smarter client portal, and turned a fragmented, compliance-heavy process into a scalable data model built for growth.
The challenge
Generali Employee Benefits needed to deliver data and insights to customers and partners in a more future-proof way. At the same time, it had to protect personal information, stay aligned with GDPR, and prepare for new reporting expectations such as IFRS 17. The opportunity was not just to improve a process, but to rethink how data could support new services and better decision-making across the business.
Our approach
The partnership focused on redesigning the data foundation on Google Cloud Platform. First, the team migrated data into a new cloud-based model that anonymized personal data and powered an interactive client portal with dashboards and reporting. Next, the architecture was expanded with BigQuery and automated data flows so new data streams could be received, preserved, processed, and delivered in a controlled way. Separate environments were also set up so each business unit could only access its own data.

The outcome
The result was a more efficient, more scalable, and more compliant way of working. Generali Employee Benefits gained a stronger basis for digital service delivery, improved internal performance, and saw analytics usage increase by up to 950%. What had once been a manual and labour-intensive process became an automated, GDPR-conscious data flow that supported both customer service quality and long-term transformation.
